In 2018, Jayne Murphy founded the original concept of Flowers For Jayne, also affectionately known globally as FFJ.
Jayne is a classic triple threat. She is the principal songwriter, lead singer and guitarist for the Flowers For Jayne line up. Jayne is a former lead guitarist of iconic Australian garage band the Lime Spiders and co-wrote three Spiders’ songs including “The Dead Boys” from their latest release “Delirium”.
Jayne has dedicated over 50 years of her life playing guitar and is often referred to as having "one of the best guitar tones in Aussie Indie Rock" by her peers. Jayne also played clarinet and trombone in her teen years.
She composed and produced every song on Flowers For Jayne’s debut 11 track album “Dangerous Woman”, released on her own label Glowing Ember Records in January 2022. “Flowers For Jayne contain an irresistible old-school charm, where screeching guitar and rugged melody are everything” – Happy Mag TV, January 2022. Happy, also goes on to describe the album as “a bubbling pot of warm, catchy, pop punk”.
She also driected and produced both FFJ music videos, "Dangerous Woman" and "You're Not What I'm Loooking For" and she created both lyric videos, super catchy "My Craft and mystical runaway train, "In The Keep".
Jayne is currently working on a concocction of songs for her third multi-track release with Flowers For Jayne.
