Musicians & Friends

Current members

Marcel Chaloupka

bass | vocals

Originating from Canberra’s vibrant music scene of the late 1970’s Marcel moved to Sydney to take on its live music scene. After forming a couple of moderately successful bands Marcel joined SMITH featuring Karen Smith on vocals, Stuart Fraser on guitar, Warwick Fraser on drums and Marcel on bass. SMITH was signed to the Wheatley label. Smith had minor chart success and appeared on CountDown several times.  Marcel then joined Moving Parts and played bass with them until they disbanded in the early 80’s and then joined the Electric Pandas which had several chart successes including number ones and top ten singles on the top 40. Marcel appeared regularly on CountDown and performed at the Oz for Africa concert, part of the global Aid for Africa concert, broadcast live on channel 9 and channel 7 and MTV in the USA. Marcel is now powering the bottom-end for Flowers For Jayne.

Past Members

Rich Daddona

drums | vocals

Rich is a seasoned drummer/percussionist with more than 3 decades of stage and studio experience. His style is recognised by peers as distinct, adaptable and for the-long-haul. Stamina and creativity have made him a wise choice around Sydney town.  Rich performs different musical genres with ease, such as rock, punk, reggae, blues, big-band, cinematic and experimental. Rich reacts to the colour and tension in music with maturity and a desire to bring out it's nuances.  His experience is diverse and vast and he has played with Eat My Dog, Paranoia Club, Triage (Sydney), Machiniso, Suburban Bukowskis, The Bellhops, The Hellboppers and most recently accepted an invite from Jayne to be a member of Flowers For Jayne.  Rich produces music and also teaches his "Drum Energics" technique for experimental/improv musicians.

Kevin "The Riddler" Riddle

bass | vocals

Kevin has been FFJ's bass player since April 2023. He recorded on the "IN THE KEEP" EP, adding his signature style to Jayne's songs. He features prominently on the single "MY CRAFT" with his catchy jungle riff weaving its magic from start to finish.

Kevin retired from FFJ and Jayne was sure sorry to see him and his tight and tidy playing go.

He played his last gig with drummer Spiro Rouhotos at Pig Out On Punk #3 on 24th May 2025.

Peter "The Machine" Timmerman

drums | vocals

Peter joined FFJ the same time as The Riddler. He also recorded on the "IN THE KEEP" EP and recorded three more singles with Jayne in November 2024. The first of those singles, "IT'S NEVER EASY" was released on 28 March 2025.

Peter retired from FFJ soon after the "IT'S NEVER EASY single launch on 30 March 2025.

His solid playing and wry humour will be missed by all.
